Carton number
Description
A carton number is the unique identification number of a carton with boxes of smart cards. The carton number largely coincides with the stock number of the first card in the carton, but the first part is replaced by a combination of four characters. These four characters define the type of carton and the type of smart cards in the carton.
Composition
The carton number is composed of three large parts. The first part can again be divided in two subcomponents, the second and third part refer to the stock number of the first card in the carton:
